It might not be a spectacular game at Turf Moor where Burnley will enjoy the benefit of home advantage and these are the sort of games that the Clarets will have to win in order to stay in the Premier League this season. However, Sean Dyche has not been given the opportunity to strengthen the squad this summer.

Nathan Collins is the only notable arrival this summer and Dyche might be coming to an end of his managerial reign at the Lancashire outfit, although we know that Burnley will adopt a pragmatic style of play and both games against Brighton last season were pretty low-scoring.

Brighton might be about to invest in players after receiving £50 million from Arsenal for Ben White, with the attacking returns not materialising last season despite a higher expected goals rating than their goals suggested.

Neal Maupay will hope to get backing from Leandro Trossard and Sebastian Gross, although our hunch is that it will be defences on top in this Premier League match, with both sides likely to be relatively content with an early point on the board.
