There are ten teams who will be in attendance, with England hosting the tournament and they will be joined by Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Pakistan, India, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
England Favourites to Win First World Cup
England have never won the One Day International Cricket World Cup, although they have been runner-up on three different occasions. They lost against West Indies in 1979, while more recent renewals have seen them lose to India (1987) and Pakistan (1992) in the final.
Hope springs eternal for Trevor Bayliss’ team and they are currently trading as 9/4 favourites to win the 2019 World Cup, with the side having some fantastic players in the ranks and they will hope to make the most of the Northern Hemisphere conditions at the various grounds.
Eoin Morgan will lead the team into battle, with Joe Root, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes among the prominent performers for this side who are likely to be tough competitors although there are several other contenders.
