Arminia Bielefeld are a team who just about avoided relegation last season, with the team surviving the relegation play-offs by two points. Frank Kramer’s side were short on goals and might need to improve upon the twenty-six goals that they managed to score in thirty-four games, with the team conceding twice as many at the other end.
There have been a number of new signings over the summer in a bid to freshen things up, with Ramos, Lasme and Kruger among them. However, it’s clear that this team are not going to be setting the division alight and there could be a distinct lack of goals when they line up against Freiburg.
The visitors are probably the likelier winners and they look set for another mid-table finish in the Bundesliga next season, although Freiburg averaged less than a goal per away game during the second half of the previous campaign.
The fact that they haven’t been able to recruit any new signings at the time of writing is a concern and there appears to have been some cost-cutting which could see the team sink down the placings a little.
