The 2019/20 Liga ASOBAL season is under way and it’s already clear that Barcelona are firmly on course to land a tenth successive title, having emerged as the dominant force when it comes to Spanish handball.
Indeed, Barca are currently streets ahead of the competition and the bookmakers are more likely to offer a “betting without Barcelona” market rather than an actual outright betting market.
Since Ciudad Real claimed four successive titles between 2007-2010, there has only been one team who has been crowned champions and the Catalan club are now bidding for a 19th ASOBAL crown, with Xavi Pascual’s team just having a very strong squad.
When it comes to “betting without Barcelona”, there are plenty of exciting betting options and Ademar Leon are available as the 6/4 favourites on this market, with the club having finished fifth in the tournament last term.
Bidasoa Irun are second favourites on this betting market and they finished in second place last season, with the club currently enjoying their fourth consecutive campaign in the ASOBAL and they have markedly improved in the past few years.
BM Logrono La Rioja are next in the betting and could easily finish in the top four of the division, while Ciudad Encantada are also regarded as top tier team in this competition, with the other teams short of quality.
