Moto2 World Championship betting odds – Gardner and Fernandez favourites

The Moto2 World Championship is one of the prestigious competitions when it comes to world motorcycling betting, with many young riders going on to compete in the MotoGP World Championship and we’ve seen many world champions rise through the ranks in Moto2 before going on to claim the biggest prize possible.

When Does the Moto2 World Championship Take Place?

The Moto2 World Championship is an event which generally starts at the end of March or the beginning of April. It then tends to run through until late October or early November, with the races taking place all over the calendar at prestigious race tracks and there are lots of exciting opportunities for the riders.

The action tends to take place across nineteen or twenty Grand Prix, with the leading riders scoring points for a high finish and there are 25 points awarded to the driver who lands the victory in each race, while twenty points goes to second place and sixteen points are awarded to third place.

However, the points are distributed right down to fifteenth place and it can often be the case that the eventual champion landed some small points as part of their overall total.

Who Are Betting Favourites to Win 2021 Moto2 World Championship?

Remy Gardner is the man sitting top of the 2021 Moto2 standings after seven races and the Australian is clearly getting a tune out of a Red Bull KTM Ajo bike, with the bookies now making him an odds-on favourite to claim a title victory and he’s being priced up as race favourite for every event that takes place.

Interestingly, the 23-year-old Sydney-born rider didn’t land a single victory in his first five races, although he has scooped a victory in Italy and Catalonia, with bookmakers such as bet365 making him odds-on to be crowned champion.

However, Gardner’s team-mate also has strong claims and there is something to be said for the chances of Raul Fernandez who hasn’t finished any lower than fifth in any race at the time of writing, with the Spaniard having landed victories in Portugal and France.

It could be that Fernandez is more of a value bet at odds-against to win this motor race, with the Moto2 betting sites making him close to 2/1 to land a victory and the 20-year-old was fourth in the Moto3 World Championship which gives him strong claims to perform well in this one.
