At the time of writing, we’re down to the final six couples in Dancing on Ice, with the bookies expecting it to be a straight showdown between a couple of celebrities.
Perri Kiely has been wowing the judges since the competition started and the Diversity dancer is no bigger than 4/11 with William Hill to win the overall competition.
The 24-year-old is partnered by Vanessa Bauer, with the German having choreographed some memorable dances already and Kiely recently landed his biggest ever score when amassing 38 points.
That score was substantially bigger than any other couple in the latest round and it would appear that only Joe Swash can potentially topple his rival, with the popular presenter still bang in contention.
The former EastEnders actor has steadily improved as the competition has worn on and he’s had to deal with a change of partner along the way, with Swash having coupled with Alexandra Schauman during the first three weeks.
After that, Swash then teamed up with Alex Murphy and we should note that the Dancing on Ice final will be down to a public vote which could yet give him an edge over the lesser-known Kiely.
The 38-year-old is available at 7/2 with Ladbrokes to land a victory and he’s managed to avoid the dance-off along the way, with four other celebrities also still in contention.
Libby Clegg is a Paralympic athlete who has made it through the earlier rounds unscathed, with the 29-year-old now trading at 12/1 and it’s conceivable that the Manchester-based competitor will make the final of the competition.
Lisa George is as short as 9/1 to win Dancing on Ice, with Paddy Power having a strong view that she could yet go far in the competition and the fact that she appeared on Coronation Street means that the performer could garner popular support.
The actress who plays Beth Tinker could be backed at 16/1 with certain bookies and she has been scoring steadily throughout the process although requires new spectacular performances if she’s to go deep.
Maura Higgins and Ben Hanlin are the rank outsiders to win the twelfth series of Dancing on Ice, with the two relatively unknown and hardly pulling up any trees when it comes to their displays on the ice rink.
Higgins is best known for appearing on another reality TV show in the form of Love Island and the lady from Ballymahon finished fourth in the 2015 series which was five years ago.
Ben Hanlin is a magician and TV presenter, with the celebrity partnered with Carlotta Edwards although he is now regarded as the rank outsider to win this competition.
Indeed, Hanlin is the 11/10 favourite for Next Elimination, while Higgins is trading at 15/8 and it looks likely that one of the duo will be heading out of the competition next.
Other Dancing on Ice betting markets include Top 3 Finish, Top Man, Top Woman, Gender of Winner and Betting Without Perri Kiely given that the favourite is now trading at short odds.
