Series 6 of Love Island has provided UK viewers with some entertainment during the cold winter months and there are still plenty of issues to be decided in Cape Town as we approach the business end of the competition.
There were plenty of hopefuls that entered the house on 12 January and many still remain, with romance having blossomed for several candidates and it appears that Finley Tapp and Paige Turley currently have the closest thing to true love.
Winning Couple Betting Odds
The couple are 5/4 favourites to effectively win Love Island, although there is still plenty of jostling for position. Tapp is a former professional football player and entered the house on Day 5, with the 20-year-old having quickly become one of the front runners.
It appears as though Tapp has struck up a bond with Paige, with the female Scot having been in the house from Day 1 and she’s a likeable sort who looks set to be in the house until the very end.
However, the bookies are struggling to split this couple from Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge as far as the betting market is concerned, with the latter trading at odds of 11/8 with BetVictor and looking good at the moment.
Trotman arrived on Day 12 and made a big impression, with the Luton-based contestant hitting it off with a 25-year-old Bristolian who is now one of the oldest contestants remaining.
The other couple in the running appear to be Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones, with BetVictor offering 4/1 that they land the Love Island crowns and it’s possible that the public will get behind this pair as we enter the final stages.
Mabbott is from Redcar and the 24-year-old entered the house on Day 12, with Jones entering the fray four days later.
Top Man and Woman Betting
The betting markets for Top Man and Top Woman follow a similar trajectory to the winning couple market, with Finley Tapp a 5/4 chance to be crowned the leading male, while the two Lukes are next in the betting. Trotman is an 11/8 chance, while Mabbott is trading at 5/1.
However, there is plenty of mileage left in this show and perhaps we will see the odds fluctuate a good deal before the end.
