The 2016 MLB season runs from April to October and our odds comparison is a great tool to help you save time and make more money on all your baseball bets. Whether you want to bet on the American League, National League or World Series itself, our odds comparison is the quickest, easiest route to the biggest value and profits.
Here we are focussing on the betting for the outright winner of the American League, the newer of MLB’s two leagues, founded in 1901. The “Junior Circuit” has historically been dominated by the New York Yankees, who have claimed the glory 40 times on their way to winning 27 World Series titles. The Yankees are well off the pace this year but read on to get the latest American League outright odds, as well as tips and betting predictions for the baseball season ahead.
If you want to back the Yankees to make yet another World Series they are priced at a distant 12/1 to win the American League and at even longer odds of 25/1 to win the “final”. If the bookies are to be believed that makes them the sixth best side in their League this season, with the Toronto Blue Jays heading the American League outright betting at best odds of 6/1 with Coral.
Next up come the Kansas City Royals, priced at betting odds of 6/1 too (though generally a little longer), with Boston’s Red Sox third in the outright market at 7/1 with 10Bet. The Houston Astros can be backed at 8/1, again with 10Bet, with the Texas Rangers the final side priced ahead of the Yankees, the Texan outfit offered at best betting odds of 10/1 with BetVictor.
The relative closeness of those odds shows just how tight most bookmakers and baseball pundits expect the American League to be this year. The fact that there are a decent number of other teams priced between 12/1 and 20/1 only gives us more options to consider and predicting who will win the League is certainly no easy task.
But, the best things in life are rarely, if ever, easy and we’ve sifted through the stats, considered all the various important factors and come up with our main betting tip for the outright winner of the Junior Circuit.
For us, the best value right now comes in the shape of Kansas City, shown in our odds comparison as 6/1 shots with Unibet and others at the time of writing. The Royals, founded in 1969, are the current MLB champions, having won the American League pennant in 2014 and 2015, winning the World Series 4-1 against the Mets last fall.
Winning back to back World Series is a major accomplishment but we feel that Ned Yost’s troops can pull it off and at odds of 6/1 they look very good value. Their current roster looks well balanced with a really deep batting line-up. Their pitching strength has been diminished but even so, we have no doubts at all in predicting that the Royals will make a brilliant defence of their World Series.
Whether you agree with our betting tip or not, be sure to use our MLB odds comparison on all your bets – why miss out on profits?
